Phil has been married to Donna over 40 years and they have two children (Zach and Megan), a beloved daughter-in-law (Mandy), and two grandchildren.

In addition to Phil’s 11 years of daily devotionals and several thousand articles available online, he has written a daily year-long devotional book on each of the four gospels: God With Us (Matthew); The Shadow of the Cross (Mark); Steps of the Savior (Luke); What Jesus Did (John). (All are available on Amazon.) He also has a study guide on 1 & 2 Thessalonians in the Streams of Mercy Series, Hope and Holiness for the Real World.

In 2014 while on his way to Chiang Mai, Thailand, Phil resigned from full time preaching ministry by sharing a video focused on his call to internet ministry and mentoring young adult Christian leaders. His work with Interim Ministry Partners is an extension of that ministry. Loving people and wanting to see churches live on mission for Jesus is a part of passion and call. Another part of this passion is Phil’s work with the Come Before Winter missionary renewals for men.

Phil is an avid traditional bow hunter and loves the outdoors whether hiking, riding his bike, hunting, or fishing. In addition, Phil and Donna love to travel and see new places as well as visit their spiritual children and ministry partners in various parts of their world.

Phil sees his mission in life as helping his grandchildren, both physical and spiritual, pass on their faith to their own children (2 Timothy 2:1-2).
