Chris Smith received his undergraduate degree from Lipscomb University, a Masters of Theology from Harding School of Theology, and a Doctor of Ministry degree from Abilene Christian University.
He served in local ministry for over 40 years with four churches and during that time was a frequent speaker at brotherhood events. He has helped churches and non-profits in ten states and 25 cities raise over $50 million in capital campaigns over the past 15 years through his consulting work with The Carpenter’s Plan.
Along with the support of his family, Chris was blessed to be mentored by Jimmy Moffett, a long-time gospel minister who passed away in 2021. He has made many decisions by simply asking, “What would Brother Moffett do?”
In addition to serving as an Interim Minister, he works in the non-profit arena assisting those experiencing situational homelessness find housing and employment.
He and his wife Vicki have three children and five grandchildren.
